U.S. Citizens must
have a passport, which is valid for at least six months from the start of
travel and has several blank pages left for stamps.
Deposits and
Payments
All payments are to
be paid by check or cash for applications sent by mail, or by credit card
(through PayPal) for online registration.
Payment for 20% of the trip’s cost, due 60 days prior to
departure, is required to reserve your space.
The balance is due no later than 30 days prior to departure.
If reservations are made within 30 days of departure, the entire
amount is to be submitted at the time of confirmation.
A fee of $100 per person is added to reservations made within 15
days of departure to cover communications and expedited services.
Other fees include: $50 for customized services, and $25 for
changes within 15 days of tour.

All rates and fares
are those in effect at time of printing and are subject to change without
notice.
Trip
Insurance
We recommend that
you have accident, baggage, trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and
interruption insurance. We
recommend AAA TripAssist or TravleGuard.com.
Cancellations
of Land Portion
Full refund, less
$100 per person cancellation charge (to cover reservation cancellation
fees) will be made if trip cancellation is received no later than 30 days
prior to departure. Cancellation
notice received less than 30 days prior to departure will be assessed a
20% fee equal to the full deposit. No refund can be made for any tour accommodation, service, or
feature that you do not utilize or voluntarily change.
If you cancel while tour is in progress, there will be no refund
for unused portions.
Baggage
The Sierra Nevada Avian
Center will not be responsible for extra charges associated with
excess baggage. Please
consult your specific international airline for baggage restrictions on
international flights.
Responsibility
and Release of Liability
The Sierra Nevada Avian
Center acts only as an agent for the contractors providing
transportation, accommodations, or other services. All tickets and vouchers are issued subject to all terms and
conditions under which transportation, accommodations, and other services
are offered or provided and constitute the sole contract between the
supplier and the tour member. The
Sierra Nevada Avian Center shall not be responsible in any way for loss,
injury, or damage arising from an Act of God, Acts of Governments or de
facto authority, war, civil unrest, any kind of hostilities, strikes,
theft, sickness, quarantine, immigration or customs regulations,
hijacking, acts of terrorism, breakdown, delay, cancellation, error,
omissions or any other cause beyond our control.
The Sierra Nevada
Avian Center
reserves the right, without advance notice, to
make changes or cancellations, in part or in whole, as circumstances
dictate; this may include changes in lodges/hotels/camps and in the
itinerary.
The Sierra Nevada Avian Center is released of liability for consequences of the personal activities of any passenger, who, as a consenting adult, is deemed personally responsible for decisions concerning conditions of health, safety, or fitness for any activity in which the passenger participates. The passenger acknowledges that they are aware of inherent risks and dangers of travel to undeveloped and remote countries including but not limited to travel by vehicle, train, aircraft, boat, or on foot; high altitude travel/hiking and accident or illness in remote regions without means of prompt evacuation or access to medical supplies and facilities. Any deposit for a package offered by the Sierra Nevada Avian Center shows acceptance and acknowledgment of prices, exclusions, conditions and responsibilities as stated in above and releases the Sierra Nevada Avian Center and all of its agents and representatives from any and all liability, actions, causes of actions, suits, debts, demands that you may have in connections with your participation in a Sierra Nevada Avian Center tour or other activity.
